Membership Services Coordinator, UIDP

The Membership Services Coordinator is an entry level position.  The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all Membership activities: recruitment and retention, member services and engagement, oversight of membership database, and growing dues revenue.  The position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships within the organization, encouraging networking and connections across segments, university and industry.  Other duties include tracking membership statistics, responding to member requests, and light website maintenance.

Senior Licensing Manager, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

The Ohio State University has partnered with the Vortechs Group to find a Senior Licensing Manager (SLM) who can lead and implement strategies while fostering community economic development. S/he will serve as a speaker, workshop leader, committee member and/or officer of various licensing associations. As the senior position in the licensing staff, the SLM will help educate the academic community about technology transfer and intellectual property.

Director of New Ventures, Technology Commercialization Office, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

The Ohio State University has secured the Vortechs group in its search for the Director of New Ventures in its Technology Commercialization Office. The Director of New Ventures reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Technology Commercialization and will be responsible for launching new ventures and leveraging the fund continuum of The Ohio State University (OSU). The Director of New Ventures will have a keen focus towards recognizing and nurturing technologies at OSU, which would have a higher potential of success in the current market environment. The Director will also track portfolio companies’ progress. OSU currently has nearly 60 startups and ranks as one of the top universities in the country in startup metrics.

Technology Manager, Michigan State University Technologies, East Lansing (2 positions)

The Michigan State University Technologies (MSUT) Technology Manager manages all aspects of screening, protecting, marketing technologies and negotiation of license agreements for a large, diverse portfolio of innovations. Two positions are being filled. One in life science technologies, one in software/copyright. MSU’s broad copyright policy assures that MSUT actively licenses a wide variety of materials including film, media, and educational materials, in addition to software and smartphone apps. Both positions will be working with a wide range of technologies.

Deputy Division Leader of its Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM

The Vortechs Group has been selected by the Los Alamos National Laboratory to find its next Deputy Division Leader of its Business Development and Strategic Partnerships. Reporting to the Division Leader of the Richard P. Feynman Center for Innovation (FCI), the Deputy Division Leader (DDL) will have functional oversight across the Division and all activities of FCI, with a particular emphasis on partnerships, innovation and innovation assets, engagement with peer Los Alamos line and program organizations, and executing new initiatives that align with the LANL Mission.

Executive Director, University Industry Partnerships, Oregon State University Foundation (Corvallis, OR)

Senior Industry Manager for Strategic Business Initiatives, University of Arizona, Tucson

The office for Research, Discovery & Innovation (RDI) at the University of Arizona (UA) is searching for a Senior Industry Manager (SIM).
